Quais Fleuris de Montreux
Lakefront (Clarens to Territet) ยท Quai du Casino, 1820 Montreux
Montreux's defining lakeside ribbon: seven kilometres of flowered promenade running unbroken from Vevey through Clarens and Montreux centre down to Villeneuve, with the bronze statue of Freddie Mercury (1996) facing the lake at its midpoint and Lake Geneva's full Alpine panorama as the constant backdrop. Dogs on leads are welcome the entire length and benches and water troughs are spaced regularly. The flat asphalt path is suitable for older dogs and is shaded in long stretches by plane trees. The Vevey-Villeneuve walk is a full half-day at dog pace.
๐ก Start at the Vevey CGN landing in the morning, walk east toward Montreux for the rising lake light on your back, and have lunch at Clarens. The full Vevey to Villeneuve is too much for most dogs in one day, split it across two mornings.
