Dog-Friendly Parks & Off-Leash Areas in Malmö

A fully fenced off-leash dog park in central Malmö, with shaded corners, benches and wheelchair-accessible entry. Free to use, no separation by dog size, but the layout is open enough for small and large dogs to find space. Popular with locals in the late afternoon and on weekend mornings; quiet on weekday lunch hours.

Malmö's largest landscape park, 45 hectares of mature trees, ponds and broad lawns laid out for the 1914 Baltic Exhibition. Dogs must be leashed throughout most of the park, but an enclosed dog park (hundrastgård) at the southern end allows off-leash play. The 4 km circuit around the upper pond is a regular morning walk for local dog owners.

An unfenced coastal off-leash area on the northern end of Ribersborg beach, plus a second one at Hylliekroken to the south. Dogs under supervision can run free year-round. The 2025 extension added roughly 100 m southward, marked by white-painted stones — the official boundary signs at each end clarify where leash rules resume.
