Dog-Friendly Parks and Green Spaces in Mahón

S'Hort Nou is Mahón's main central public garden, a small but well-kept green space behind Plaça de la Conquesta with shaded benches, palm trees, and a children's play area. Dogs on a leash are welcome on the paths around the garden. The location is convenient for visitors staying in the old town and the canopy provides genuine shade in the summer heat.

The Moll de Llevant is the long south-side quay of the Port de Maó, a flat waterside promenade running roughly 5 km from the foot of the old town towards the entrance to the harbour. It is the city's de facto dog-walking route at dawn and dusk and one of the most genuinely pleasant urban dog walks in the Balearics, with the bay on one side, restaurants and old British-era buildings on the other.

S'Albufera des Grau is the core zone of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve that covers all of Menorca, an 8 km drive north of Mahón. The park encloses a coastal lagoon, salt marshes, holm-oak forest, and the Es Grau dunes. Several marked walking trails are open to dogs on a leash and the sandy track from the visitor centre to the lagoon viewpoints is flat and easy. The park is one of the best low-altitude wildlife walks in the western Mediterranean.
