Café Traxlmayr
Altstadt / Promenade · Promenade 16, 4020 Linz
Linz's oldest Viennese-style coffee house, opened in 1847, with chandeliers, marble-topped tables, newspaper racks and a vaulted Schanigarten under chestnut trees. Leashed dogs are welcome year-round inside the main saloon and on the summer terrace, with water bowls brought to the table. The menu is classic Austrian: Wiener Melange, Kaiserschmarrn, Tafelspitz and a daily Linzer Torte from the in-house Konditorei. The most central dog-friendly fika stop in town.
💡 The Schanigarten under the chestnut trees is the calmest spot with a dog — avoid the inside main saloon at Sunday brunch (10:00–13:00) when families fill every banquette.
