Dog Parks & Walks in Larnaca

Larnaca's fenced, double-gated dog park opened in January 2021 behind the Tasos Mitsopoulos Avenue car park and has become the city's main meeting spot for local dog owners. It is free to enter and comes with a water fountain, shaded seating, agility equipment and free poop bags, with parking right next to it.

A roughly 4 km signposted trail runs from the Hala Sultan Tekke mosque to the Kamares Aqueduct around the famous salt lake, where flamingos gather mainly in winter. It is a protected Natura 2000 wetland, so dogs must stay leashed on the path and out of the lake itself to avoid disturbing the birds.

Larnaca's signature seafront, a wide pedestrian promenade lined with palm trees and terrace cafes running along the city beach. It is an easy, flat leashed walk for dogs, best enjoyed in the evening when the pavement has cooled and the cafe terraces fill up.
