Pet-Friendly Attractions in Ksamil

One of Albania's great treasures, Butrint is a UNESCO World Heritage archaeological site where Greek, Roman, Byzantine and Venetian ruins sit among woodland and lagoon. Dogs are welcome on a leash throughout the site and nature trails, making it a rare ancient wonder you can explore together.

Four small turquoise islets sit just off Ksamil's main beach, two of them joined by a sandbar at low tide. Reachable by kayak, pedal boat or short water taxi, they offer quiet swimming and Robinson Crusoe scenery; in the calm off-season a leashed, water-confident dog can join the short crossing.

One of Albania's natural icons, the Blue Eye is a deep karst spring that bubbles up an astonishing sapphire blue surrounded by forest. It is an outdoor nature site reached by a short walk, where leashed dogs can join the stroll to the viewing platform, though swimming in the spring is discouraged.
