Dog Parks & Walks in Kotor

The palm-lined coastal path running several kilometres north from Kotor's Old Town through the village of Dobrota is the area's best dog walk: flat, scenic, and lapped by the calm bay on one side. Locals walk their dogs here every morning and evening, and there are quiet stone steps down to the water where dogs can cool off away from the busier swimming spots.

Behind the Old Town, the quiet lanes and lower hillside paths above Skaljari and Muo give a calmer alternative to the busy waterfront, with shade from olive groves and old stone walls. These leashed walks climb gently for bay views without the steep, paid fortress steps, and are usually empty even in peak season.

A 25-minute drive around the bay, Tivat's long pine-shaded seafront promenade is one of the rare genuinely shaded walks in the Kotor area, running past the marina and town park. The pines give welcome cover in the heat, and the wide flat path is easy and pleasant for a leashed stroll with frequent benches and water access.
