Koutavos Lagoon & De Bosset Bridge
A protected coastal lagoon on the edge of Argostoli, a feeding ground for loggerhead sea turtles, swans, ducks and migrating birds, ringed by an easy flat walking trail. It connects to the roughly 700-metre De Bosset stone bridge, the longest stone sea bridge in the world, making a pleasant car-free loop popular with local dog walkers.
Off-leash zone: None. Keep dogs leashed throughout; this is a protected turtle and bird wetland
๐ก Go early morning or near sunset; it is flat and partly shaded but very hot midday, and turtles are most visible in the clear shallows by the bridge
