Getting to & Around Ischia with a Dog

Ischia is reached only by sea, on ferries and hydrofoils from Naples (Beverello and Calata Porta di Massa) and Pozzuoli, run by Caremar, Medmar and others. Dogs are allowed on board with a leash and muzzle, or in a carrier for small pets, so the crossing is straightforward with the right kit. On the island itself you can use the EAV buses that loop the coast road, licensed taxis and the open micro-taxis, or simply walk the seafronts and car-free Sant'Angelo.
