The island's longest beach, a wide sweep of sand and pebbles running east from Sant'Angelo along the southern coast, backed by cliffs and warmed by natural hot springs. Its free sections are the most realistic beach option with a dog, best walked in the quieter early morning or evening. Avoid the fumarole hot-spots, where the sand can be dangerously hot, and check the Barano ordinance for the current dog hours.
Rules: Small dogs on the free (libera) sections only, in the time slots set by the Barano ordinance; keep off the managed lidos and the hot fumarole sand.
