Dog Parks & Walks in Genoa

Genoa's largest green space — 92 000 m² of merged historic villa gardens (Villa Gropallo, Villa Saluzzo, Villa Serra) with English lawns, mature palm trees, fountains, a famous rose garden, and direct access to the cliffside Anita Garibaldi promenade. Dogs on lead are welcome on all paths and lawns. Reached in 25 minutes by train from Genova Brignole to Nervi station, then a 5-minute walk.

A vast hillside forest park draping the 17th-century city walls above the historic centre, reached by the Righi funicular from Largo della Zecca. Off-leash zones are marked along the upper trails through pine forest, with viewpoints over the entire port and Ligurian Sea. The Forte Sperone summit walk is the classic 90-minute Genoese dog hike.

A central romantic park layered up the hillside above Piazza Corvetto, with manmade grottoes, a small waterfall, exotic plants and Edoardo Chiossone Museum of Oriental Art at the top. Dogs on lead are welcome on all winding paths. The terraces give a clear view across the central rooftops to the harbour.
