The highest point in continental Portugal at 1993m, reached by road from Covilhã. Dogs allowed in the car park area and on the surrounding paths. In winter it is the only ski destination in Portugal; in summer it is a cool escape from valley heat. The famous 2000m stone marker is a good photo spot.
