Estepona pairs an enclosed off-leash dog park with long flat promenades and a shaded pine forest in the foothills, so there is somewhere to walk a dog whatever the weather. The coastal Senda Litoral is smooth and level but has almost no shade, while the Parque de los Pedregales offers cool pine paths a short drive inland. In the Andalusian summer, walk early in the morning or after sunset and avoid hot pavement and sand during the midday hours.
