Hofgarten
Stadtmitte · Hofgarten, 40213 Düsseldorf
Germany's first public park (1769), 28 hectares of English-landscape lawns and ponds in the very centre of Düsseldorf, between the Königsallee and the Rhine. Dogs must be leashed throughout the park; an off-leash Hundewiese borders the eastern edge along the Inselstraße for free running.
💡 Combine the Hofgarten with the Rhine promenade — exit at Maximilian-Weyhe-Allee, walk west to the Rheinuferpromenade, and follow the river south to the Altstadt for a 90-minute leashed loop.
