Fresh seafood is the main draw, but the real reason to come is the location — the water laps directly beneath the terrace and the city walls rise behind you. Considerably quieter than the Old Town restaurants inside the walls.

The shaded garden terrace is exceptionally pleasant for dogs — spacious, cool, and right on the waterfront. Croatian and Mediterranean cuisine, strong on fresh fish and local produce. The garden setting makes this one of the most comfortable spots in Dubrovnik to bring a large dog. Reservations recommended, especially in season.

Located directly on the old harbour (Stara Luka) inside the Old Town walls, Lokanda Peskarija is one of the most atmospheric dining spots in all of Dubrovnik. The terrace tables sit right at the water's edge facing the harbour. Dogs are welcome on the terrace. The menu is simple and excellent: fresh mussels, grilled fish, and black risotto. A more honest price point than many Old Town restaurants. The waterfront terrace is the highlight — one of those rare spots in Dubrovnik where the tourist crush actually feels worthwhile.
