Catania's flagship dog beach, run by Lido Azzurro on the sandy Plaja stretch south of the centre. Umbrellas, sunbeds, fresh water and a dedicated rinse-off shower for dogs after the swim. Leashes are required on the sand but dogs can play off-leash inside the fenced play zone and in the water. Microchip and a recent vet certificate of good health are required at the gate.
