The closest verified dog beaches are along the Cantabrian coast around Santander and Laredo, a 90 to 120 minute drive north on the A-67. Local refreshment for dogs is found at the Arlanzón river inside Parque de Fuentes Blancas, where shallow gravel banks allow safe paddling in summer.
