Weser Riverside & Lake Beaches around Bremen

Sandy bathing beach on the Werdersee, a man-made lake formed by a Weser dam, with shallow swim entry, designated dog area on the eastern fringe and a kiosk in summer. The most family-friendly water spot in Bremen, and one of the few that explicitly allow dogs.

Wide grassy floodplain on the eastern Weser bank just behind the Wohninvest Weserstadion, with informal sand banks where dogs can splash in the river. Used by locals for kite-flying and frisbee. Quietest part of central Bremen on a weekend morning.

The historic Hanseatic riverside promenade running the length of the medieval centre, with restored sailing ships moored alongside, beer-garden terraces and the dog-friendly Bürgermeister-Smidt-Brücke crossing. Not a beach in the swim sense, but the city's prime dog-and-coffee strip.
