Dog-Friendly Restaurants in Bonn

A long-running corner café on Sterntorbrücke with one of the best people-watching terraces in central Bonn. The covered outdoor seating area is shaded in summer and heated in shoulder season, and dogs on a lead are routinely welcomed at terrace tables. The menu runs from breakfast (served until 14:00) through cakes, salads and Flammkuchen, plus a respectable wine and craft beer list. Less touristy than its location suggests; mostly local regulars.

A historic Rhenish tavern on Markt square, in business since 1389 and one of the oldest restaurants in Germany. The dark-wood interior is cosy and traditional, and the small outdoor tables on the Markt look directly onto the Altes Rathaus.
