The 11th-century castle ruins crowning the 200 m hill above the Begur casc antic, an open-air heritage site rebuilt and dismantled several times between the 11th and 17th centuries (last destruction by French troops in 1810). Panoramic 360-degree view over the six Begur calas, the Cap de Begur lighthouse, the Medes islands off L`Estartit, and the Empordà plain to the Pyrenees on clear days. Free open-air access, leashed dogs welcome up to the summit.

The 8 km Camí de Ronda GR-92 clifftop coastal path running from the Sa Riera sand beach in the north of Begur south along the rocky cape to Tamariu in neighbouring Palafrugell, linking all six iconic Begur calas (Sa Riera, Fornells, Sa Tuna, Aiguafreda, Aiguablava and round the Cap de Begur lighthouse to Tamariu). Widely considered one of the most scenic sections of the entire Costa Brava coast, with constant turquoise-water views, pine and aleppo shade, hidden swimming inlets and a stone-cut path threading granite cliffs.

The Cap de Begur rocky cape extending south of Aiguablava with a small lighthouse trail and panoramic viewpoint over the Cap de Begur waters; the bigger Far de Sant Sebastià lighthouse and ermita sit 6 km south in Llafranc (Palafrugell), one of the most photographed lighthouses on the Costa Brava and a classic combined hike with the Begur GR-92. Leashed dogs welcome on all open trails and at the lighthouse exterior viewpoints.
