Dog-Friendly Beaches in Begur

A 150 m pebble and gravel fishing-port cove framed by white-painted fishermen`s cottages and a small stone breakwater, at the end of the GIV-6531 road east of the Begur village. One of the six iconic Begur calas and the postcard image of the comarca, with L`Hostal de Sa Tuna and a small chiringuito on the pebble strip. Not supervised in summer, leashed dogs tolerated year-round per Ajuntament ordenança.

A 70 m sand and pebble turquoise-water bay sheltered by pine-covered headlands on both sides, below the cliffside Parador Aiguablava 5-star hotel south of Sa Tuna. The most photographed of the Begur calas and one of the bluest waters of the entire Costa Brava. Supervised in summer with the standard ban on dogs (leash-tolerated outside June 15-September 15 per the Ajuntament ordenança), and lined with sun loungers, a beach bar and a small access car park.

The largest of the Begur calas, a 200 m sand and gravel beach at the mouth of a small valley in the village of Sa Riera, 3 km north of Begur centre, with its own seafront promenade, several restaurants (Es Dofí, Sa Cova) and a small fishing port at the southern end. The northern trailhead of the Begur Camí de Ronda GR-92 down to Tamariu. Supervised in summer with the standard ban on dogs, leash-tolerated outside June 15-September 15.
