The cafés at the foot of the Jetee Thiers, the main pier where the UBA boats leave for Cap Ferret, are the most scenic coffee stop in Arcachon. You sit facing the bay with the pier and the boats in front of you, the perfect place for a coffee, a cannele, or an aperitif before or after a crossing. The open terraces welcome leashed dogs, and the constant movement of boats and walkers keeps a curious dog entertained. This is the spot to pause while waiting for the ferry to Cap Ferret with your dog, or simply to sit with the bay and the pinasses and watch the tide turn.
