Parken en wandelingen met hond op Rügen

A vast beech forest between Binz and Sellin, crowned by the Jagdschloss hunting lodge. The famous Hochuferweg clifftop path runs along its eastern edge with constant Baltic views, and it is a favourite of local dog walkers.

Germany's smallest national park protects the famous chalk cliffs and UNESCO-listed ancient beech forests around the Königsstuhl. Leashed dogs are allowed on the marked trails, including the spectacular high-shore path from Sassnitz.

A ten-kilometre sweep of fine sand backed by a shady pine forest, linking the Jasmund and Wittow peninsulas. Outside the summer season the whole strand opens to dogs, and even in summer the forest path behind the dunes is a superb leash walk.
