Hondvriendelijke bezienswaardigheden op Rügen

A turreted 19th-century hunting lodge on the highest hill of southeast Rügen, with a cast-iron tower overlooking the whole coastline. Leashed dogs may explore the surrounding lodge park and forest paths, though not the castle rooms themselves.

Rügen's postcard icon: a 394-metre pier with a white pavilion restaurant, rebuilt in the elegant style of 1927. Leashed dogs are allowed along the boardwalk, and the dog beach section lies conveniently right beside it.

The natural heritage centre at Prora is famous for its 1,250-metre treetop walk ending in the 40-metre Adlerhorst tower. Dogs are not permitted on the walkway itself, but the centre provides free shaded kennels with drinking water at the entrance while you climb.
