Padstow

The working fishing harbour at the heart of the town, ringed by dog-friendly pubs and cafes. Open-air and dog-friendly year-round, it is the starting point for the Camel Trail and the coast path.

A wide, sheltered sweep of golden sand on the Camel estuary just north of town. The main year-round dog beach; watch the fast incoming tide that quickly covers the sand.

A disused railway turned flat, traffic-free path along the estuary from Padstow to Wadebridge and beyond. One of Cornwall's easiest dog walks; keep dogs on a lead among the cyclists.

The little passenger ferry across the Camel estuary to Rock, a short and scenic ride. Dogs welcome aboard for a small extra charge; it drops you near the dog beaches at Rock and Daymer Bay.

Clifftop walking from the harbour, following the estuary past Harbour Cove to the daymark tower at Stepper Point. Open to dogs year-round; lead up near the cliff edges and livestock.

A big, calm expanse of sand backed by the St Enodoc dunes on the Rock side of the estuary. Dog-friendly year-round, unlike neighbouring Rock Beach; reached quickly via the ferry.
