Narbonne

A UNESCO-listed branch of the Canal du Midi running through Narbonne, lined with plane trees. Its flat, shaded towpath is the finest dog walk in town.

The underground galleries of a Roman warehouse from the 1st century BCE, the only standing ancient structure you can visit in Narbonne. A narrow museum space where dogs are not admitted.

A limestone massif clad in garrigue between town and sea, threaded with trails and opening onto the beaches of Narbonne-Plage and Gruissan 15 min away. Ideal for dog hiking outside the summer season.
