Best Parks for Dogs in Wroclaw

The oldest and grandest park in Wroclaw, a 100-hectare landscape established in the late 18th century. The Japanese Garden inside the park is a small jewel (dogs are not allowed inside the garden itself, but everywhere else is fine on leash). Long alleys of old oaks and chestnuts wrap around the Pergola and the Centennial Hall, making this the ideal park for a one-to-two-hour structured walk. Dogs must stay on a leash throughout, but the open lawns and shaded paths are quiet enough that you will rarely be in a tight crowd.

A large, lived-in residential park covering roughly 50 hectares on the southwest side of the city, and arguably the most popular dog park in Wroclaw. Inside, the well-known Dog Meadow (Łąka dla psów) is a fully fenced off-leash zone with agility equipment, tunnels, ramps, and slalom poles, where local dog owners gather every evening. The rest of the park is laid out as woodland paths and wide lawns. A great option if you want one space that does both a long on-leash walk and serious off-leash play.

A small grassy island in the middle of the Odra river, a five-minute walk from the Rynek and the most beloved hangout in central Wroclaw. The lawn is open, shaded, and ringed by floating bars and views of the baroque University. Dogs are welcome everywhere on leash and the riverside paths that cross the island connect easily to longer Odra-bank walks all the way to Cathedral Island. Not a fenced off-leash zone, but the calm city-centre setting makes it the easiest place to combine sightseeing and a dog walk.
