Dog-Friendly Beaches and Riverside Spots in Wroclaw

The grassy banks of Słodowa Island are the city's go-to summer riverside hangout. Dogs on leash are welcome everywhere on the island, the floating bars are happy to set up a bowl of water, and there are short staircases down to the Odra where dogs can dip their paws on hot days. Not a swimming beach (current is gentle but not safe to encourage swimming), but the easiest place to spend a summer afternoon by the water with your dog without leaving the centre.

A small natural-bathing lake set in a quiet residential park about 15 minutes by tram from the centre. The official swim season is policed by a lifeguard and excludes dogs from the marked swim zone in July-August, but the surrounding wooded paths and grass banks accept dogs on leash year-round, and outside the swim season many locals let their dogs swim from the unguarded sections. The closest reliable place to give a Wroclaw dog a real water fix.
