Compact Trapani has a couple of green spaces plus a superb flat seafront walk, but in summer timing matters more than location. Walk early in the morning or after sunset, since asphalt and stone underfoot get scorching and Sicilian midday sun is dangerous for dogs. Always carry water, keep dogs leashed in public spaces, and clean up after them.
Trapani's main public garden, opened in 1889, with mature trees, shaded paths and exotic plants over roughly two hectares in the heart of town. Dogs are welcome on a leash, and the dense canopy makes it one of the few genuinely shaded spots for a summer walk.

The medieval village of Erice, reached by cable car from Trapani, has cobbled lanes, courtyards and panoramic walls that are pleasant for leashed dogs. At 750 m it is noticeably cooler than the coast, making it a smart hot-weather escape with your pet.
