One of the loveliest easy stretches of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs from Tenby along South Beach and the dunes to the village of Penally. It is open to dogs year-round and the Penally end of the sands has no seasonal ban, giving a proper beach-and-clifftop walk whatever the summer signs say elsewhere.
Off-leash zone: Keep dogs on a lead near the cliff edges and any grazing livestock; the drops are steep in places and the golf course borders the dune path.
๐ก You can walk out to Penally along the beach and dune track and take the two-hourly train back to Tenby station, which is dog-friendly and free.
