Dog-Friendly Beaches in Tenby

Tenby's grandest beach, a mile and a half of pale sand curving south-west towards Penally with views over to Caldey Island. A restricted zone applies at the town end in summer, but the quiet Penally (eastern) end has no seasonal ban, so it is the town's go-to year-round dog beach.

A sheltered, rock-fringed cove beneath Castle Hill, looking out to St Catherine's Island and its Victorian fort, and named Britain's best beach in a national survey. A partial dog ban applies in summer, so check the signed areas, but the rock pools and low-tide sands make it a favourite outside restricted hours.

The iconic, picture-postcard beach beneath the colourful harbour houses, framed by Goscar Rock and the walls of the old town. It is beautiful but has a total dog ban across the summer season, so it is one to admire from the harbour with a dog rather than walk on between May and September.
