Dog-Friendly Attractions in Tallinn

Tallinn's medieval Old Town is one of the best-preserved in all of Europe, and it's all walkable with a dog on a leash. The Town Hall Square (Raekoja plats), St Olaf's Church viewpoint, the city walls walk, and the Toompea Hill panorama platforms are all fully accessible. Dogs on a leash are welcome throughout. The two viewpoint terraces on Toompea (Kohtuotsa and Patkuli) are among the best in the Baltic — arrive early morning for the most atmospheric experience. Several café terraces on the Old Town square welcome dogs in summer.

Tallinn's most dynamic neighbourhood destination: a repurposed Soviet-era industrial complex that now houses restaurants, cafés, galleries, design studios, and a flea market. The outdoor courtyards are some of the most dog-friendly spaces in Tallinn — locals bring their dogs here constantly. F-Hoone, Fotografiska, and numerous food trucks and cafés are all here. Telliskivi is at its best on warm weekends when the outdoor areas fill with people and their dogs.

Tallinn's most charming residential neighbourhood, Kalamaja (literally 'fish house') is characterised by its colourful wooden houses dating from the early 20th century. The neighbourhood has a strongly local, creative character — artists, young families, and lots of dogs. Walking the quiet residential streets with your dog, stopping at Café Boheem or another local café, and soaking up the unhurried neighbourhood atmosphere is one of the best things to do in Tallinn.
