The historic main square of Sorrento at the junction of the Corso Italia and the Via San Cesareo entry to the centro storico, named after the 16th-century poet Torquato Tasso (born in Sorrento 1544), with the statue of Sant'Antonino (patron saint of Sorrento) and the church of Santa Maria del Carmine. Surrounded by historic cafรฉ-bars and the Vallone dei Mulini viewpoint at the east edge. Leashed dogs welcome on the square and on all the centro storico pedestrian streets year-round.
