Dog-Friendly Parks and Walks in Sóller

The GR-221 is Mallorca's grand traverse, a 167 km dry-stone trail that crosses the Serra de Tramuntana from end to end and passes directly through Sóller. The most accessible day-hike sections from town are the climb to Mirador de Ses Barques (3h return, 700 m gain) and the descent through ancient olive terraces to Biniaraix and the Barranc canyon. Dogs must be leashed throughout, the area is grazed by sheep and goats and farmer tolerance depends on it.

The Camí des Faros is a 4 km coastal path that links the two lighthouses guarding the entrance to Port de Sóller bay: Far de Sa Creu on the north headland and Far de Bufador on the south. The full circuit takes about 2 hours with sea views the whole way, occasional shaded pine stretches, and almost no traffic. Dogs on a leash are welcome end to end. The northern half climbs to Cap Gros, the most panoramic point above the harbour.

The Barranc de Biniaraix is the most spectacular short walk near Sóller, a stone-paved mule path that climbs from the tiny hamlet of Biniaraix (15 minutes' walk from Sóller centre) up a vertical gorge of olive terraces toward L'Ofre peak. The first 45 minutes are accessible to any dog comfortable on rocky steps, and the views back down over Sóller and its valley get better with every switchback. Turn back at the Es Cornadors viewpoint or continue up to L'Ofre for a full day.
