The Atlantic coast of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park is one of the wildest in mainland Portugal and dog-tolerant outside the official June-September bathing season. Praia da Adraga, Praia do Magoito and Praia Grande all allow leashed dogs in shoulder season and remain accessible year-round for off-peak walks. Water is cold (16-19°C) and currents are strong, supervise your dog at the shoreline.
