Dog-Friendly Attractions in Sibiu

Europe's largest open-air museum, spread across a wooded lakeside park with reconstructed traditional buildings from across Romania. Per the museum's own official visiting rules, animals are allowed on the open-air grounds if accompanied by an adult and kept on a short leash, with a muzzle required for breeds classified as dangerous or aggressive. Animals are not permitted inside the indoor pavilion exhibitions, except guide dogs.

Sibiu's two historic squares, Piața Mare (Big Square) and Piața Mică (Small Square), form the heart of the walkable Old Town, connected by pedestrian lanes lined with pastel townhouses. Both are open pedestrian spaces where citywide leash rules apply, and several surrounding cafes welcome dogs on their terraces.
