The 25-hectare royal peninsula that closes the bay of Santander to the east, with the Palacio de la Magdalena (former summer residence of King Alfonso XIII) at its centre, a small open-air zoo, beaches, and 3 km of perimeter walking paths with Cantabrian Sea views on three sides. Dogs are permitted on lead throughout the park grounds and on the perimeter paths; the palace interior, the zoo enclosures and the beaches inside the park follow the city beach calendar.
Off-leash zone: On-lead only throughout. No designated off-leash zone inside the peninsula.
💡 Enter from the Plaza de Italia side and follow the perimeter clockwise for the best clifftop views over the bay. Carry water, the only fountains are near the palace.
