Dog Walks & Green Spaces in Quiberon

The Côte Sauvage runs roughly 8 km along the Atlantic side of the peninsula, from Château Turpault to the Pointe du Percho, a wild stretch of cliffs, arches and pounding surf followed by a section of the GR34. It is a spectacular leashed dog walk, but swimming is forbidden here because the currents and undertows are among the most dangerous in Morbihan.

An easy, mostly flat walk from Port Maria along the seafront to the Pointe du Conguel, the southernmost tip of the peninsula, with wide views over the bay and out towards Belle-Île. The promenade is pedestrian and dog-friendly on a leash, though the fragile tip of the headland itself restricts access at busy times.

At the narrow neck that joins the peninsula to the mainland, the Penthièvre isthmus has the sea on both sides over barely 300 metres, dominated by the historic Fort Penthièvre. The protected dunes and the customs officers' path (sentier des douaniers) towards Portivy make a breezy, open walk where dogs must stay leashed to protect the dune vegetation and nesting birds.
