Dog-Friendly Parks in Palma de Mallorca

Parc de sa Riera is a long, linear green corridor running through the heart of Palma along the channelled riverbed of the Sa Riera stream. It is one of the most used dog-walking routes in the city, with shaded paths, benches, and a designated pipican off-leash area at the northern end. Locals bring their dogs here morning and evening every day of the year.

Parc de Krekovic is a tranquil residential park in the Son Armadans neighbourhood, a short walk from Castell de Bellver. It features a dedicated enclosed dog run (pipican) which is genuinely off-leash, making it one of the better urban parks in Palma for dogs to socialise freely. The surrounding neighbourhood streets are quiet and good for longer walks.

Es Carnatge is a wild rocky coastal strip east of the airport, officially designated as a year-round dog beach and off-leash zone. It is the closest place to central Palma where dogs can run freely along the water. The terrain is rugged — rocky outcrops, scrub pine, and clear turquoise water — and the atmosphere is local and unpretentious. In summer it is the only beach near Palma where dogs are legally permitted.
