Dog-Friendly Attractions in Munich

The Nymphenburg Palace is one of Germany's most magnificent baroque palaces, and its park — 200 hectares of formal French gardens, English woodland, and ornamental canals — is one of the finest in Europe. Dogs on a leash are welcome throughout the park. The Amalienburg hunting lodge and the series of small canal waterways through the park make for an extraordinary walk. The palace interior does not admit dogs.

Munich's Viktualienmarkt is one of the great open-air food markets in Germany: a daily market selling premium Bavarian produce, flowers, spices, and specialty foods, with a central beer garden that is open year-round. Dogs are welcome throughout the market and in the beer garden (self-service section). A Munich must-do regardless of season.
