Dog-Friendly Parks in London

Hyde Park's dedicated off-leash area is nicknamed 'The Dog Bowl' — a large open meadow near Speakers' Corner where dogs can run freely. The park covers 350 acres and dogs are on-lead in the Kensington Gardens section and near the Serpentine. The Dog Bowl is one of the best places to socialize a dog in London — high footfall, tolerant regulars, and plenty of space. The park-side café at Speakers' Corner offers outdoor seating.

790 acres of ancient woodland, meadows, and swimming ponds in North London. Dogs are off-leash across most of the heath and there is a dedicated dog-swimming pond on the Highgate side. The terrain is varied — muddy trails through woods, open hillsides with city views, and ponds for summer splashing. Heavily used by North London dog owners at weekends; arrive before 9am for a calmer experience. The Lido Café near the ponds has outdoor seating.
