Istanbul has extensive green space along both shores of the Bosphorus and in the Belgrade Forest to the north. The most celebrated dog-walking areas are Yildiz Park (former imperial gardens above Besiktas), Macka Park, and the Bosphorus coastal path between Bebek and Arnavutkoy.
