🐾 Qbuzz operates the city and regional bus network across Groningen and Drenthe, including the lines to Eelde airport and the regional buses 163 to Lauwersoog ferry port for the Schiermonnikoog Wadden island crossing. Wagenborg Ferry to Schiermonnikoog (Lauwersoog)

🐾 Wagenborg Passagiersdiensten runs the 45-minute ferry from Lauwersoog ferry pier (50 km NE of Groningen) to Schiermonnikoog, the smallest inhabited Frisian Wadden island and a UNESCO Wadden Sea natural site. Dogs travel for about €5 each way on a leash and muzzle, included on the foot-passenger ticket. On the island, dogs are allowed leashed on the dunes year-round, off-leash on the designated dog beach at the eastern East End from October to March, and on a fenced dog zone April to September.
