Gravensteen Castle (Exterior)
Historic Centre ยท Sint-Veerleplein 11, 9000 Gent
The 12th-century Castle of the Counts, Gravensteen, is Ghent's most dramatic landmark and one of the best-preserved medieval castles in Northern Europe. Dogs are not allowed inside the castle, but the exterior and the surrounding Sint-Veerleplein square are fully dog-friendly. The canal views from the bridge in front of the castle are spectacular and among the most photographed spots in Belgium.
๐ก Come at 8am, the square is empty, the light is perfect, and you can photograph the castle and canals without a single tourist in frame
