Dog Parks & Walks in Geneva

The largest legal year-round off-leash zone in central Geneva — a wooded hillside between the Rhône and the Arve, with shaded forest paths, a small free animal park, and panoramic views over the city. Locals come at sunrise and sunset for off-leash runs of 30 to 60 minutes. The terrain is varied (forest, meadow, riverside), which suits high-energy dogs.

An elegant lakeside park on the Rive Gauche, immediately next to Parc de la Grange, with sweeping lawns, mature trees and a direct view across the lake to the Jet d'Eau. Dogs on lead are welcomed throughout, and the park connects directly to the Eaux-Vives marina promenade — a flat, paved lakeside walk of around 1.5 km that is perfect for older dogs or for evening strolls.

The historic park beneath the Old Town, home to the Reformation Wall and Geneva's outdoor giant chess sets. Dogs are allowed on lead throughout the central avenue and lawns. Mature horse-chestnut trees keep the park shaded in summer, and it serves as the everyday lunchtime walk for office workers and their dogs in the centre.
