Dog-Friendly Lake Spots near Geneva

The 1.5 km promenade running north along the right bank from the Mont-Blanc Bridge to the Perle du Lac park, with grassy strips, mature trees and direct lake access at several points. Dogs on lead are welcome year-round. Outside the official summer swimming zone of the Bains des Pâquis, the unsupervised pebbled lake edge along Quai Wilson is the closest in-city spot where a dog can dip into the water — best in spring and autumn when there are fewer swimmers.

A free, unsupervised dog-friendly beach on the French side of Lake Geneva, with sand and pebble shoreline and views back across the lake to the Jura. Dogs are allowed year-round, off-leash on the quieter western end where families do not gather. About 35 minutes from central Geneva by car via the A40, or by train to Thonon and then bus.
