Carnac's best dog walking is not in formal parks but along the coastal path (GR34) and the pine-and-heath paths that run beside the famous standing-stone alignments. Dogs are welcome on these routes year-round as long as they stay leashed, which is the rule on the GR34 and on the perimeter paths around the megalith fields. Off-season (October to March) is the most relaxed time, with far fewer people and open access to the alignment paths.
The GR34 customs path runs roughly 8 km along the shore from Carnac-Plage toward La Trinité-sur-Mer, passing dunes, pine woods and oyster-bay views. It is one of the few places near the beaches where dogs are welcome year-round, on a leash.

The paths running along the outside of the fenced stone fields at Ménec and Kermario are open and walkable with a leashed dog. From April to September the fields themselves are fenced and entered only on a paid guided tour (no dogs inside), but in winter the alignments are in free access and the heath feels wild and empty.

The largest grave mound in continental Europe sits on the edge of Carnac-Ville; its summit and orientation table give a panorama over the town and the Bay of Quiberon. The interior galleries are closed, but the exterior, summit and the wooded paths around it are open to leashed dogs.
