Dog-Friendly Attractions in Carnac

The world's largest concentration of standing stones, with more than 3,000 menhirs in long parallel rows across the Ménec, Kermario and Kerlescan fields. Dogs on a leash can walk the outer paths and viewpoints; from April to September the fenced interiors are seen only on a paid guided tour, with no dogs inside.

The largest grave mound in continental Europe, a grassy hill topped by a small chapel with an orientation table and a sweeping view over Carnac and the Bay of Quiberon. The interior burial galleries are closed, but the exterior and summit are open to leashed dogs.

The 17th-century granite church of Saint-Cornély, patron saint of horned animals, anchors Carnac's old town with its carved façade and small surrounding square of shops and crêperies. You can stroll the streets and admire the church exterior with your leashed dog, though dogs cannot enter the church itself.
