The sheltered, shallow Bassin beaches such as Le Mimbeau, L'Herbe and Le Canon are the calmest water on the peninsula, but dogs are formally banned on all of them year-round, leashed or not. You can still walk a leashed dog through the oyster villages and along the waterfront paths just behind these beaches.
Rules: Dogs prohibited on the sand year-round on every Bassin beach in the commune. Leashed dogs are allowed on the village alleys and waterfront paths behind the beaches.
