Parc Natural de Cap de Creus
Cap de Creus headland, east of the village · Carretera de Cadaqués al Far, 17488 Cadaqués
The first marine-terrestrial Parc Natural in Catalonia, declared in 1998, covering the easternmost mainland peninsula of Spain. Slate and schist karst, wind-sculpted rocks, scrub of garriga and Aleppo pine, and a 60 km coastal sentier from Cadaqués to the Faro de Cap de Creus and on to El Port de la Selva. The La Pletera visitor centre at El Port de la Selva publishes pet-friendly route maps and seasonal rules.
💡 The PR-C 11 from Cadaqués to the Faro de Cap de Creus is a 4 h round-trip with almost no shade; start at sunrise, carry 2 L of water for an average-sized dog and turn back at the Cala Culip cove if the tramuntana picks up
